Thanks to an investment from the James L and Mary J Bowman Trust, the Winchester Area SPCA was able to build a small state-of-the-art veterinary clinic. The clinic is located at 1944 B Abrams Creek. It is tucked inside an office space within the big blue building with the mural.
The clinic space is mainly utilized for shelter pets who are in need of minor surgeries and spay/neuter procedures. The clinic also hosts periodic vaccine clinics for the public. WASPCA partners with local community cat rescues to offer affordable spay/neuter and vaccine options. For more information on community cat services email director@winchesterspca.org. The clinic is located at 1944 B Abrams Creek. It is tucked inside an office space within the big blue building with the mural.
This clinic is strictly for spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations. For primary or emergency veterinary care, we recommend you contact any of our local full service veterinary clinics.
The clinic offers appointments for the public 3 days a week, Wednesday – Friday by appointment only. Please be prepared to pay in full when you book your appointment.
We have a very small state-of-the-art clinic, staffed by a small team of professionals. We are not able to accommodate dogs over 80 lbs. or accept walk-ins.
We do not have a receptionist. All requests for services, scheduling, payments, and waivers must be completed online. If you call the clinic at 540-662-8616 Ext. 422 you will need to leave a message. Messages are returned at the end of each business day.

The clinic is a non-profit and every appointment is an important source of funding for the clinic and the animal shelter. If we receive less than 24-hour notice of your cancellation, your pre-paid appointment fees will be considered a donation.
Drop off & Pick-up – On the day of your appointment, you will arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 AM to drop off your pet at 1944 Abrams Creek B. You will be contacted when your pet is ready to be picked up that same day. Pets not picked up by 4:30 PM will be surrendered to the WASPCA and you will be charged a $40 late fee. No pets will stay overnight at the WASPCA vet clinic.
All cats must be in an appropriately secure carrier or trap. Broken or zip-tied carriers will not be accepted. One cat per carrier or trap. Please line carriers with newspaper, not fabric.
E-collars and appropriate pain medications are included with the price of surgery. E-collar compliance is vital to your pet’s health and well-being and ensures that incisions stay intact and that bacteria and infection are avoided.
We may use your pet’s photos on social media for clinic marketing purposes.
If live fleas are found at the time of surgery, a flea treatment will be given and additional fee will be due at the time of pickup
If the animal is found to be pregnant at the time of surgery, additional fees will be due at the time of pickup. Dogs are an additional $50, cats are an additional $25.
NOTE: A Rabies Vaccine is required if you cannot provide proof of current vaccination.
