Thanks to an investment from the James L and Mary J Bowman Trust, the Winchester Area SPCA is able to offer low cost spay/neuter services to owned pets in our community.
The clinic is located at 1944 B Abrams Creek. It is tucked inside an office space within the big blue building with the mural.
This clinic is strictly for spay/neuter, with some optional add on services available during your visit. For primary or emergency veterinary care, we recommend you contact any of our local full service veterinary clinics.
The clinic operates 4 days a week, Tuesday – Friday by appointment only. A $50 non refundable deposit is required to book your appointment.
We have a very small state-of-the-art clinic, staffed by a small team of dogs professionals. We are not able to accommodate dogs over 80 lbs. or accept walk-ins.
We do not have a receptionist. All requests for services, scheduling, payments, and waivers must be completed online. If you call the clinic at 540-662-8616 Ext. 422 you will need to leave a message. Messages are returned at the end of each business day.

The clinic is a non-profit and every appointment is an important source of funding for the clinic and the animal shelter. If we receive less than 24-hour notice of your cancellation, you will not be eligible for reschedule and your pre-paid appointment fees will be considered a donation.
Drop off & Pick-up – On the day of your appointment, you will arrive between 8:30 and 9AM to drop off your pet. You will text 540-546-5081 and a veterinary assistant will come to your car to retrieve your pet. You will be contacted when your pet is ready to be picked up that same day. No pets will stay overnight at the WASPCA vet clinic.
All cats must be in an appropriately secure carrier or trap. Broken or zip-tied carriers will not be accepted. One cat per carrier or trap. Please line carriers with newspaper, not fabric.
If the veterinarian deems it necessary for your cat to have an e-collar to prevent irritation to the incision, you will be charged a $10 fee that will be payable upon pickup.
We may use your pet’s photos on social media for clinic marketing purposes.
If live fleas are found at the time of surgery, a flea treatment will be given and additional fee will be due at the time of pickup
If the animal is found to be pregnant at the time of surgery, additional fees will be due at the time of pickup. Dogs are an additional $50, cats are an additional $25.
NOTE: A Rabies Vaccine is required if you cannot provide proof of current vaccination.
