“Empty the Shelters” Summer National Pet Adoption Event

Winchester Area SPCA partners with the BISSELL Pet Foundation for the “Empty the Shelters” Summer National Pet Adoption Event

As our nation’s shelters are overburdened due increased owner surrenders and longer stays for pets, BISSELL Pet Foundation is prompting a national call for adoption with its Summer National “Empty the Shelters” reduced-fee adoption event.

BISSELL Pet Foundation has teamed up with MetLife Pet Insurance to bring its Summer National “Empty the Shelters” adoption event to more than 335 shelters in 44 states starting July 6, 2023, including the Winchester Area SPCA. As the nation’s largest funded adoption event, “Empty the Shelters” has helped nearly 158,000 pets find loving homes. During each nationwide event, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees to make adoption affordable for prospective pet owners.
