Amy’s Walk for Paws
Amy McFarland loved animals and always dreamed of opening “Amy’s Home” for homeless pets. On June 22, 2023, Amy was hospitalized and admitted to the ICU at UVA Hospital. After numerous complications, she passed away on July 20, 2023.
To honor Amy’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity, her mother, Mary McFarland, has organized Amy’s Walk for Paws—a special fundraiser benefiting the Winchester Area SPCA.

The event is free to attend. Bring your friends and family and join us for an afternoon of community, compassion, and fun—all in support of homeless pets!
Enjoy live entertainment by Charlee Allman (Golden Ticket winner on American Idol 2023) and the Charlee Allman Band. The event will also feature vendors, raffle baskets, and a fun kids’ zone with games and prizes.
Walk-A-Thon
Participants can take part in the walk-a-thon by registering and inviting friends, family, and supporters to sponsor their walk. Sponsors can make a monetary donation of their choice to support the cause. Reach out to Mary McFarland at 540-877-2217 or blessings72879@gmail.com to sign up.
Walk starts at 2:30pm. Every step taken helps provide care, shelter, and love for animals in need.
