Enriching lives & ending pet homelessness

Spay & Neuter

The Winchester Area SPCA serves as a transport location for the Anicira Veterinary Clinic in Harrisonburg, Virginia. They come to our facility on a regular schedule, pick up animals & transport them to the clinic. The animals stay overnight and are returned the next morning. If you are interested in using the transport, come in to our adoption center, pay the associated fees, fill out an application, and we will reserve a space for your animal.

The clinic requires all animals to have a rabies vaccine at the time they are spayed or neutered.  If your animal does not have one, they charge $26 for the vaccine. The Winchester Area SPCA requires that all pets going on the trip have a distemper vaccine at the time of the procedure. If your animal does not have one, the charge for this is $26. Other vaccines and services are available as well. WASPCA charges a $15 processing fee in addition to the cost for the surgery.
